Now, with only 3 Aussie bands on the new M&E Collection, this would have been a very brief presentation, so I'm going to have a look at some of the other work each has done, been raiding the files of the old M&E Showcase, and have come up with another of Scott's excellent projects... Music & Elsewhere The track is "Like Someone On The Hunt In A Village Spying Around Corners Until They Get To The Creperie". I told you he didn't do short titles... Skt Stklr this band is mostly the genius madness of Mr Funkmeister G, aka Grazza - I am along for the ride but all praise must go to G whom without I, or possibly noone, could think of this shit! Super unique dude and player He was a Vocab fan for years who I started doing this with around the time vocabularinist stopped. Music & Elsewhere And here's Mr. Stickler himself. Hello, Mr. Stickler... Skt Stklr i cut my hair recently, not quite as stupidly long but still generally stupid lookin Music & Elsewhere Bless. Skt Stklr holy shit i cant remember the reference except to say that every SC song title is always something someone said out loud in a conversation. We never write titles so much as write down things people say so that came from a real sentence.......about what now i have no goddamn idea! Some of them i can recall but not that particular one haha Skt Stklr the absurd length of some of the SC (and indeed Vocabularinist) titles was probably first inspired by the US band Alice Donut and their titles like 'the son of an x postal worker reflects on his life whilst getting stoned in the parking lot of a winn dixies listening to metallica' I always loved that absurd shit and wanted to have a crack at matching it! Music & Elsewhere And did you like the Sydney Opera House thing in the intro graphic? Music & Elsewhere Another track finished, so next up, this is a project Skott was involved in with the US underground legend, Ken Clinger ( this is probably WAY too early for Americans, which means we can get away with taking the piss if we want... ;) )... Music & Elsewhere The track is "Anti Venom Stockpiles Ltd", which is a particularly short title for Skott, can only assume that's Ken's balancing influence. Americans have that zen thing, must be having Trump for a President... ;) Music & Elsewhere No pic for Dadirri, but nice album cover.
