Radio's "Genius" show, a few years back. For cost-cutting reasons, telly now
prefers that comedians write their own material, so much of the stuff I do
for filthy lucre these days ends up in more corporate or promotional
productions.
MM: The
Cheapo Card Company has its own video channel on YouTube these days, so you
are obviously a long way from being forgotten. However much we try. Even
though your music work is sparse nowadays, do you still see a place for the
band in your future?

find it’s a great way to start sentences.

Besides, I probably produce far more musical
musings over a typical year, than during the 90s... but it's more spread-out
and one-off, and done often for other projects than just Cheapo. Add to
that, there's already a batch of new Cheapo songs on the way for 2013, which
'should' be produced with accompanying videos, so I foresee little reason
why Cheapo shouldn't be at least as ignorably irrelevant, or dismissed out
of handedly, as ever they were. Besides, |
