Twizz at the lectern for her first talk on
bees on behalf of the Friends Of Knott End Library, where she presented a
potted history of the FTBC, a very informative section on knowing your
bees and oodles of information about how everyone can help. Not to mention
hosting a quiz and other activities for a very enthusiastic audience!

Fern manned the goodies stall, and although the occasion was most
definitely a talk and not a sale, the FOKEL team had very kindly allowed
us a fundraising table as well, where the aforementioned enthusiastic
audience had also proved a generous one, providing nearly £60's worth of
purchases and donations for the cause!

A
Twizz alone (well, parental support, of course) for sale no. 6, complete
with yet another new hairstyle, back to St. Oswald's Church Hall once
more, courtesy of and with many thanks to local fundraising star, Jane
Mary Wilcox!
Twizz had to go straight from her new school, Lancaster Girls Grammar, to
run a stall at her old one on Friday 5th December. Talking of LGGS, nice
to see her efforts being acknowledged in the school newsletter, pictured
below. Yes, it's 'Jaxx' at school now, they grow up so fast, sigh...

Manning the stall at said Carter's Christmas Fair, the last FTBC
event of the year. Along with the library talk and the St. Oswald's sale,
that's another £135 raised for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. We still
have a few things we're trying to sell online to add to that, so fingers
crossed it'll grow a bit before we send it off! |
