                                                   Fern                                                   Twizz

Hi. I'm Twizz. I've been running the FTBC for just over a year and a half. It all started when Fern, a friend, and I found ourselves surrounded by people who didn't care for climate change and how endangered bees are. 156 species of bees are vulnerable to becoming endangered. 20 species already are and 11 are critically endangered globally. This needs to stop. With everything going on in the world, ice caps melting, consistent floods and fires, and much more, climate change needs to be stopped. People always say that they care for climate change, most people say that. But it isn't all about caring to stop climate change, it's about trying to stop climate change. So, welcome to the FTBC's website! Have a look around and always remember:

IT'S TIME TO SAVE THE WORLD! :D

It is widely reported that since the 1990’s, some 60% of all bee colonies have died. To make it worse, we are also losing many of our populations of wild bees too. Experts believe that some of Europe's bumble bees could be pushed to the edge of extinction in the next 60 years.

 This is a symbiotic relationship

We need them, they need us

In Europe alone, approximately 84% of crop species and plant varieties exist thanks to pollination by bees. Bees are pollinators for about one third of the plants we eat. If the bee disappeared off the face of the Earth, man would face severe difficulties maintaining current levels of food production.

It doesn’t have to be this way

There are things we can do to help

Twizz and Fern have started this campaign because they want to do exactly that. Their plan is to offer their time and labour to spread useful info about things everyone can do to help, to instigate and support local projects, and to help raise funds for these and bee relevant charities.

If you like bees and would like to know

how you can help them, watch this space!
