Mr. Quimby's Beard - no news is good news...
Everything seems to come to a halt circa the Summer of 2001, possibly not
helped by the fact we never published another full newsletter afterwards
and didn't release any more albums for another two years;
-
Whatever the news was from Mr. Quimby's
Beard, it never got filled in, just stops dead, like those mammoth's
that get found frozen with food in their mouths. Must have been some
serious ice cream.
-
The newsletter we've covered.
-
And not a lot of point in following the
Deathsquad link, Geocities closed in 2009, and all you get now is a Rick
Astley video, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
-
The reviews for the Karda Estra and Lord
Litter 'Releases Of The Season' (New Year 2001) are available on this
site, you'll find them
HERE...
-
That 'Join The
United World Underground!' link actually only lead to our old e-mail
address, which was duly spammed out of existence quite some years ago.
However, one of the original info leaflets on that very subject has been
webified (of course it's a proper word!) and is available
on this site, right
HERE...
-
The newsletter
we've covered. Twice.
-
Of course, in the
modern world, there is no need for 'p+p included', Into The Abyss's
excellent "Martyrium" album (the cassette version of which, M&E 202, was
our July 1993 Release Of The Season) is nowadays available on
iTUNES.
Singer, Iannis Kalifatidis, once visited our old place in Frimley. Spent
the whole time complaining about the cold.
-
The United World
Underground logo is over to the left on the sidebar.
Ironically,
considering United World Underground was meant to be a nice globally
unified umbrella title, it sounded awful, arrogant or pretentious when
translated into virtually any other language, whilst English speakers
thought it sounded like a criminal thing. C'est la vie... |
