Music & Elsewhere I posted a link to a You Tube video, ex BB
frontman was singing to electric rock busking on the streets of Cincinnati
with Bitter Blood Street Theater. So what, you ask? Owen Knight is 91!
Legend.
Music & Elsewhere The Cincinnati Massive, here's some of them...
Music & Elsewhere Malcom Ryder of
Sosumi tells me BB was his go-to music while handing out Hallowe'en
candies. Hey, you heard it here first! ;)
Music & Elsewhere Next up...
Music & Elsewhere Love this band, and would have chosen a
longer
track (I'm a man of a certain age, longer tracks come in handy!), but this
one is just so damned good. This is "Climb"...
Music & Elsewhere And this is Star Period Star (hi, Dan) after a
busy day burying cars...
Music & Elsewhere They have a fantastic new album out (on vinyl)
called "Daylight Spending Time", look it up. If anyone on our side of the
pond (e.g. the UK, or Borisland as we now fear it's becoming) is
interested, we're distributing over here, contact me for details.
Music & Elsewhere Is burying cars like a proper job in America? I
digress, which is most unlike me. Um... look, there's an elephant in the
room. Three words; "token Canadian band". Seriously, where else could I
put them? They sound kind of American, they fit in well with you guys,
William Shatner is Canadian and starred in your greatest TV series ever
(Star Trek, not T.J. Hooker!), so shut up, they're really good. Shall we just get them out
the way, ease your discomfort?
Music &
Elsewhere This is
"Road
To Nowhere / Road To Everywhere"...
Music & Elsewhere Mad as a bucket of frogs, these guys. Montreal,
nuff said.
Edit or delete this
Music & Elsewhere "Hey, Earl, did that Brit dude just include a
CANADIAN band in an American underground special?"
I did...

Music & Elsewhere Don't take it all so seriously, "This Is Supposed
To
Be Fun"... :)
Music & Elsewhere Back in Ohio again...
Music & Elsewhere I used to love
Sosumi, something of The Tubes about them, wonderful parody of the world
of rock. And they listen to Blacklight Braille while giving out Hallowe'en
candies, what a world, I'm melting...

Music & Elsewhere I'm going to put a long track on now, give myself
a chance to move around, make a tea, do that 'men of a certain age' thing
(thanks for sharing, Magic), so here comes...
Music & Elsewhere And the track - "This Is Fiction"...
Music
& Elsewhere 15½ minutes of California joy (Eureka / Arcata area), here
they are, I'm wandering about a bit now, back soon, enjoy the music...

Music & Elsewhere Cup of tea, pyjamas, sorted. Stop raising your
eyebrows, it's nearly 10 at night here.
Music & Elsewhere Barking Dogma are one of the projects of multi
talented wheelchair user, Kevyn Dymond, he of Guaranteed Cleveland Records
fame. Also made some very good sounds with The Folkoffs.
Music & Elsewhere Kevyn's main eccentricity being that he simply
will not use the internet. We still communicate by 'letters' (ask your
dad). And post them to eachother. It's worked for over 28 years, why would
Kevyn want to change it now. No website, no social media, no e-mail
address. Luddite... ;)
Music & Elsewhere Next up... the big electric guitar classical
battle royale! Who wins? We do, we get to listen to two excellent
guitarists!
Music & Elsewhere Here we go, it's...
Music & Elsewhere In The Red corner (see what I did there - his M&E
album was called "In The Red" - okay, well I thought it was pretty
snappy), here comes Dave, generally a rock guitarist, and a damned fine
one at that (wait till you hear the stuff on the M&E
Collection),
but this is him amazingly doing his take on the "Bach Concerto In A
Major"...
Music & Elsewhere And secondly, Kev Orkian, aka Kevyn Dymond from
Barking Dogma. This is his take on
"The
Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 (1st Movement)"...
Music & Elsewhere And to think there have been accusations that the
underground is a soft option for those without talent. Hmmmn, really?
Music & Elsewhere Oh, I couldn't pick a winner, let's call it a
draw and move along! Please?
Music & Elsewhere Next up...
Music & Elsewhere The track - "Muzzle"...
Music
& Elsewhere And this was Doug when he was young and groovy... ;)
