Alpha Nebuli IV, October 1991, from the album "White Hawk Atomic". Features
the new band of Mick Magic, Lulu, and Pete Program appears on synths.
A2 "Return Of Jody" - Untouched jam session with Mick Magic, Kate
Twilight and Jay Time from the original band. Recorded September 1987, this
one became the foundation for the track "Magic Moments At Twilight Time".
B1 "Discotheque Traveller" - A short experiment from our first demo,
"W20 Advance Guard", recorded by Mick Magic in October 1986. Formed the
basis for "Traveller 2" later on.
B2 "Pandora" - The original line up featuring Shona Moments on vocals,
recorded October 1987 for "The Magic Moments Album".
B3 "Spirit" - The demo version; Mick Magic and Lulu, plus Al Cable of
Internal Autonomy on drums, recorded early to mid 1990, used on
"Earthbound".
B4 "Acidic Heaven" - From the album "White Hawk Atomic", details as
track A1.
B5 "Blitzkrieg!" - Comes from a live rehearsal for a gig that never
happened, just Mick Magic and Shona Moments here, from the amusingly awful
May 1987 album "Live And Sorry".

FLASHBAX VOL. 5
Rodent Tapes (UK, 1992-95)
Umbababayee (UK, 1995+)
Beton Tapes (Germany)
A1 "Magic Moments At Twilight Time" - The latest incarnation of the
band, that's Mick Magic, Lulu and Pete Program, the theme / anthem from the
album "White Hawk Atomic", recorded October 1991.
A2 "Story X" - Mick Magic plus one, this is the first recording by Shona
Moments herself from March 1987, taken from the "State Of the Art" demo.
A3 "State Of The Art" - Well, no volume of Flashbax would be complete
without a take of this track! This is a recording test for singer Pippa
Smith, only with us for a few months in '89. Sad really.
B1 "Are Souls Epileptic?" - Deep from the archives comes this one, from
the demo tape, "W20 Advance Guard". This is Mick Magic solo from October
1986 and you may well recognise the backing program for "The Soultakers" in
there somewhere?
B2 "Discotheque Traveller / Zen Sequent" - Mick and Shona again, this
time from May 1987, from a rehearsal for the debut gig that didn't happen.
Originally available on the diabolical "Live And Sorry" tape. Afterthought:
Shona was there, but she didn't do anything on this extract. Oops!
B3 "Little Green men In Bowler Hats" - Taken from "Zoen Nostalgia", Mick
solo (pretending to be two aliens, bless him) circa May '89, he is seeing
the best psychiatrist we can afford.

FLASHBAX VOL. 5
The
photo used on the generic cover we supplied to labels with the master, taken
with us posed on top of what I seem to recall was an underground reservoir
at the Deepcut / Heatherside end of the Frimley Fuel Allotments. It was part
of a series of very recognisable publicity stills taken by Mensan
photographer, Wayne Smith, who was a great support to the band in the early
days and never forgotten in these parts. That's Kate on the left, then top
to bottom; Jay, me and Shona.
B4 "Radio Armageddon / Blitzkrieg!" - And back to the present, again
from "White Hawk Atomic", we do spoil you, don't we? Answers on a postcard
