Twizz Sigma: Oh my god, they've killed Kenny!

Chief Petty Officer Ken Expendable: No, I’m fine, I’d just seen this really pretty stone and bent down to pick it up,

the disrupty phase cannon thingy beams went over my head.

(Just thought you'd like to meet Ken, who has made his show debut in the trilogy... Editor)

o

Lt. Cmdr. Scotty MacLeod: For the sake of you English numpties,

Colmena is Spanish for hive. Scotland... it has an education system.

07. Wojciech Czeronko - Colmena

Now I've got his name right, I'm very much hoping that's actually him in the photo too! One of our highly respected EFSPACM colleagues here, providing a track specially for the Space Bees Trilogy, nice man. Nice take on the subject too, I like this guy's stuff, it's kind of thoughtful, one of those that stands out from the crowd (with apologies if you're in the crowd, nothing personal). Based on the poem of the same name by Federico Garci Lorca. Here's some bits to explore and where I got the photo from. Please don't be two Wojciech Czeronkos or I will hide in a corner and sob...

08. UNIT - The Flying Woman Of Freiburg

You know who they are. It was also Dr. Patel's guess when the captain said he knew just the woman to help...

o

Captain Riz Sigma: No, I meant Lavinia Mari, High Priestess Of The Kathodos.
Dr. Faatimah Patel: It seemed a reasonable guess.
Captain Riz Sigma: Scotty, send Trundlix to my quarters. On the shelf by the window, he’ll find a glowing electronic cup cake pendant. Tell him to rub the cherry on the top and she will come.
Twizz Sigma: I am SO talking to mum about this.

o

09. {AN} EeL - All Hail The Queen

Another colleague from the EFSPACM group, another track done specially for the Space Bees Trilogy, with just the slightest hint of copyright theft, though I don't see Johann Strauss II suing any time soon. Mr. Eel has a remarkably original take on things, there with his air of avant garde cheeriness and kazoo, experimental voice artist that he is. One of those annoying artists (when you are trying to describe what they do) that defy description. But then like I always say; pigeonholes are for pigeons. No, I know they are actually for communiqués, but it does kinda make sense if you think about it. Look, I'm wittering here, so I'm going to shut up now and just direct you to his Bandcamp. Sorted...

Lavinia Mari, High Priestess Of The Kathodos: I’m going to mentally project some code into your head, my little ringed friend with icing on top. I need you to input that into HAL-90, then we are going to give Milton Keynes’s security system a rather nasty virus. We’re taking this villain down! Right, let’s get some human computer two way communication going...

o

10. Cubic - Human Computer (Two Way Communication)

Coming our way courtesy of Alfa Matrix, "Back To 808", the most wondrous Belgian electronic underground music, equally pleasing to ears and feet. I could listen to this all day, honestly, it's like someone has scanned my brain, found all my favourite electronic sounds, then assembled them into transistorised joy. You should see the Kawaquad Amokabot strutting his funky stuff to this, and if I was a mechanoid, I'd be joining him, but I'm very old, and nurse won't let me. Luckily, you have no such limitations. WARNING: Liable to overload the pleasure centres of your aural processing matrix...

o

Milton Keynes: No, what are you doing to my computers, Sigma? What is happening, why do I see the blue screen of death?
Captain Riz Sigma: It’s over, Keynes, we’ve defeated you with a simple online tool.
Unable Spaceman Skit Zoyd: What is simple online tool?
Captain Riz Sigma: Donald Trump on Truth Social?

Yes, I know we take the piss out of him rather a lot, but he deserves it, so why not? If you enjoy us taking the piss out of the big idiot, you may like this...

11. Pszren - Returning To The Village

And yet another track done specially for the Space Bees Trilogy by an EFSPACM colleague. I'll get Trundlix to put in a word with Santa for you. Nice list, guaranteed. The bad guy defeated, the space bees are all returning to the hive village of Colmena on the planet Apis Mellifera, orbiting Bellatrix (Orion, top right corner, if you don't believe me); he sits by a grand piano on the lush blue green world, accompanying our little winged friends as they make their way. Artistic license on my behalf, yes. I will, of course, use the track in its original clean format for the album, but I thought this worked so well for the show. Wonderful thing is serendipity. You can explore Pszren's world on his Bandcamp right here. And don't be fooled by all the Japanese stuff, it's definitely him, promise...

Twizz Sigma:  Ladies, gentlemen, non-binaries and mechanoids, with a song he’s written specially for the cause, please welcome the legendary Bard Of Ely, as seen on Britain’s Got Talent, Steve Andrews...

o

12. Steve Andrews - It's Time To Save The Bees

Undying gratitude to this all time great underground super-trooper and his co-writer on this number,  Jeanne L. Thompson, for not only creating a special song for the show, but also going all the way to the orbit of Bellatrix to perform it in Nine Backward on the WSS Boobyprise. I've done some hikes for gigs in the past, but doubt I could come close to 250 lightyears. No sleep till Deptford is barely a contest. I've known Steve from way back into Music & Elsewhere days, when he had several albums released on the label and was one of our best selling artists, which I've always put down to his dogged spirit and never say die attitude. And yes, Twizz wasn't taking the piss, he really did go in for Britain's Got Talent, season 11, I believe. His audition (better than most people's performances!) is still up on You Tube (click on the logo). He has half the audience (the female half) up on stage with him, brilliant fun. And as far as we're concerned, he was never rightfully eliminated, because Alesha Dixon reached over and pressed Amanda Holden's buzzer when wasn't looking, coz she was still enjoying Steve's performance! Oh yes, Ms. Dixon, name and shame,  don't think you're going to get away with it just coz you went out with an AFC Wimbledon player! Jack Hughes! No, hang on, that's not right. J'accuse. That's it. Excusez-moi, mon français est merdique. We demand his immediate reinstatement directly to the final, that he wins, and that he gets to be the next Doctor Who. Sorted...

Jaxx Magic as 'Twizz Sigma'

My collaborator on the Space Bees Trilogy, and all the proud dad stuff aside, she'd set up the FTBC charity project when she was 10 (and had already won awards for collecting chocolate for Ukrainian child refugees before that), so is well worthy of the nod. Gets hugely embarrassed when I mention Officer Kitty or her excellent vocals on I Want More Toys, but I still think they were brilliant. You can follow the FTBC journey so far right here on this website...

Todd Rowley as 'Milton Keynes'

First my daughter, now my brother, what kind of nepotism is this? Hey, 'Exploitation begins at home' (Ferengi Rules Of Acquisition). You'll possibly recall his earlier film work from the radioshow special we did for his movie, Blood Hunt, three years back, now cutting out a new role in the form of sci fi author, penning the Splinter Tribe Saga, two books of which are now available; The Thief Of Faces and The Power House...

Stuart Hamilton as 'Lt. Cmdr. Scotty MacLeod'

Currently your host on The Rocker blog, a blues radio presenter affectionately known as Mr. H in the more recent past, and editor of the Zeitgeist zine way back in the day, Stuart was later forced into radio acting by people who wouldn't let him stay in their house any more if he didn't. Unlike James Doohan in Star Trek, Stuart is actually genuinely Scottish, hailing from Leith. Like The Proclaimers, but better looking...

Kevin Trundley as 'Trundlix'

Over there t'other side of Pennines, Saltburn On Sea to be precise (finally, Trundlix's smoggie accent is explained), Kev has also done a fair bit of artwork for both the show (he designed the bit of the WSS Boobyprise we use on promos) and the Magic Bullet project (the Mick and Skit caricatures), not to mention making a lot of interesting sounds as his alter ego, Conny Plankton. Another one from back in the days of glorious cassette culture...

Lavinia Mari as 'Lavinia Mari, High Priestess Of The Kathodos'

In the real world, Kathodos are an experimental band of which Lavinia is a part, but she's also produced some great work with Olik Nesnah, check out Chasing Shadows Of Another World. Doesn't have a Bandcamp site of her own yet (though we did receive a solo track from her not long back), but you'll find examples of both at Slithering Black Records. As ever, we look forward to the next instalment, and press-ganging her into more appearances on the show, of course...
