01. Astral
Magic with Vibravoid & Bridget Wishart - Galaxy Race
From the single release, coupled with Space
Station Mars, call it a double A-side coz we love both these tracks. Hey,
you don't get to be the theme tune on a radio station for the best part of a
millennium by being slack! Stand on the runway and wait for take off here...

HAL-90S: The mighty
Santtu there.
Trundlix: Santa?
Number One: No,
Trundlix, Santtu Laakso, the man behind Astral Magic.
First Officer’s log, supplemental:
We remain in orbit above the planet Apis Mellifera, hive planet of the space
bees. The captain is on the surface with the rest of the away team; his
daughter Twizz Sigma, Doctor Amokian, the Kawaquad Amokabot, Doctor Patel
and our red shirted security extra, Chief Petty Officer Ken Expendable. Skit
has been captured by the evil super villain, Milton Keynes, and is being
held in his secret lair. Well, it’s not like completely secret, our team
know where it is, obviously, and are actively trying to break in to rescue
him, albeit whilst struggling with the effects of the toxic pesticide and
tea withdrawal symptoms... Commander Slay 'Number One' Skibidy, Acting
Captain, WSS Boobyprise (PTC 5317)
HAL-90S:
Meanwhile, inside said not so secret lair, Milton Keynes was checking
over his ‘Baukasten’. That’s a construction kit to you and I, but it was
made in Germany by the Carsten Vollmer Evil Tool Company GMBH, so there you
go...

Carsten Vollmer - Baukasten (3)
Another of the tracks recorded specially for
our Space Bees Trilogy, so also watch out for it on the forthcoming benefit
compilation! Carsten's a colleague from back in the glorious days of
cassette culture, the man behind a lot of delightfully ear damaging sounds
with Bar & Co, not to mention the Cat-Killer label. Visit his world here...

03. Magic Bullet - George's
Tool (7 Incher)
We needed a cutting tool for the plotline,
what can I say? Yes, cutting tool, what did you think we meant? Honestly, go
wash your mind out with soap and water, shame on you. Our infamous duet for
drums and angle-grinder, as it appeared on Communitas: Volume III. Visit our
world... well... you're here already, now I come to think of it...

Milton Keynes: Is that
the voice of my former arch nemesis Dr. Patel I hear out there?
Captain Riz Sigma: You know him?
Doctor Faatimah Patel: I thought the voice sounded familiar, Captain.
He was an inmate in the Baltimore Hospital
For The Criminally Insane when
I worked there as a psychiatrist. A totally evil man, hell bent on ruling
the world.

Magic Bullet - Here (video by Gordon Way, pictured right)
Whilst not part of the show, a little plot
relevant flashback here (no pun intended), back to where you first met Dr.
Faatimah Patel, ship's counsellor. The story of this track, from the EFSPACM
compilation, "Gordon's Way" (2020), spins the tale of a guilt stricken
serial killer who turns to Dr. Patel, in her days as an Earthbound
psychiatrist, for redemption...

Milton Keynes: Ah, if
you could see it, Captain, the Beegatron 4000, a design I stole from a
certain Dr. Strattanpossum. Let’s just say he won’t be needing it any more.
And when my little friends have finished constructing the Beegatron, the
bees will soon be gone. MWAH HA HAH.

Strattanpossum - Constructing The Beegatron 4000
Well, it's a couple of years since we've had
Doc Possum on the show, so a very warm welcome back, sir, and thanks for
doing this track specially for the Space Bees Trilogy. Hey, look, we know
you intended your invention to be a giant transformer like bee defending
robot, and we were extremely upset to hear Milton Keynes imply he'd had you
killed. He is very mean and will NOT be getting a Christmas card from us
this year, rest assured. Come on, guys, go buy some stuff from his Bandcamp,
help his widow and the dozen or so orphans put food on their table...

05.
UNIT - Hubble's Law
The first of two appearances on this month's
show for former Apostle (the band, he wasn't a member of Jesus' posse or
anything), Andy Martin, and his own intrepid crew. Couldn't just use this
one, it's very short, it would have been an insult, but you know, sometimes
they just fit the plot and you simply have to use them. Or I could just
admit to liking them and making them fit. Okay, guilty. Wait until you hear
the title of the other UNIT track I made fit in the show. Hard to find
online, try here...

Captain Riz Sigma: What
have we got that sounds like weapons fire, HAL?
06.
RDKPL - Beat Digi Bees
Come on, be honest, it kinda does! Radek won't
take that badly, he is the arch duke of noize and proud of it and we love
his sonic attacks! This is cut to 5-6 minutes for the show (contrary to the
insidious rumours, we DO care about our listeners' aural health), but as it
was a Space Bees Trilogy special, you've got the full 11½ minutes on the
forthcoming album to look forward to. Many more ways to hurt your hearing
enjoyably can be found here, should you dare...
