67. “Unitas XXXIII”

A memory of “Mi Casa, Su Casa”

(Hal Tapes, EC Split 25)

The Hostess is played by our Sammi

(Mrs. Magic III)

The Traveller is played by Owen Knight

(of Blacklight Braille fame)

THE HOSTESS: You are now nearing the end of the eclectic electro-experimental experience.

THE TRAVELLER: We would hear the machines.

THE MACHINES: The eclectic electro-experimental experience.

THE TRAVELLER: I thank you.

THE HOSTESS: Before you leave the Asgard of this dimension, we have knowledge to share with your ears.

THE TRAVELLER: Give us this knowledge.

THE HOSTESS: The Magic Bullet have invented a new genre. This is the world's first concept compilation album series.

THE TRAVELLER: And is this true?

THE HOSTESS: Probably.

THE TRAVELLER: I understand.

THE HOSTESS: Then all that remains is to bribe our daughter to read you a bedtime story.

THE TRAVELLER: We have candy.

Video still from "The Girl On The Pink Bicycle" by Howl in the Typewriter (Twizz got all the props!)

68. “Officer Kitty II: Attack Of The Killer Beanie Boos!” - Magic Bullet & Twizz

Previously on Officer Kitty...

Yes, the long awaited sequel to “The Adventures Of Officer Kitty In Space!” And what better place to finish a concept compilation themed on ‘community’ than with the community at the core of my  life, my own family. Sam’s done her bit, now if you’re sitting comfortably, here’s a story improvised and narrated by our Twizz, plus special guest villain, David Yuan Roberts (mwah ha ha)!

And now the conclusion...

It started about five months ago when a comment appeared on our Reverbnation from, and I kid you not, Godspeed You Black Emperor Penguin; “Officer Kitty is currently my 9-yr-old son's favourite track on the Musique Concrète for Children compilation. We listen to it every day going to school in the car.” When Twizz  saw this message was all the way from the U.S.A., she was seriously excited, that’s pretty damned near another planet when you’re 8.

“We should do another one, daddy,” she said, “and maybe the 9 year old boy would like to be a super villain on it!”

Cool idea, I thought, so I contacted the guy, one Martin Roberts, who turned out not to be a penguin at all, disappointingly, and although he was in New Hampshire these days, he was originally from Wolverhampton in the English Midlands. Small world. Wouldn’t like to walk it though. Anyway, before we knew it, Twizz and David were having video calls and plotting their epic, which me and Uncle Skit were only too happy to put the finishing touches to.

o

< The AK47 obsession; blame Uncle pStan Batcow, it started when he gave her one for her Barbie. Yes, really.

69. “End Of Communitas”

DR. PATEL: The Magic Bullet would like us to thank you for listening to this third and final volume of Communitas.

KILLER: Yes! We thank you fellow travellers on the dark road of experimentalism.

DR. PATEL: We hope it has help you discover who you am.

KILLER: Who I are.

DR. PATEL: Who you am.

KILLER: What you am.

DR. PATEL: Tell us, how did it make you feel.

KILLER: I felt unreal. I felt like a construct. This album does not belong here.

DR. PATEL: The only place this album belongs is in your collection. Goodnight.

KILLER: Goodnight.

GUARD: Okay, killer, time to get back in your cell.

KILLER: Yes, back in my cell... I have a knife.

GUARD: Fuck this.

BONUS TRACK :

"George's Tool (12 Incher)" - Magic Bullet

Believe it or not, it's a longer version of "George's Tool (7 Incher)"

Not really rocket science, was it?
