The 70's was the formative decade for me, the one I spent all of my teen years in, discovering bands that would influence and stay with me for the rest of my days; Hawkwind, Faust, Tangerine Dream, King Crimson, Curved Air; to name just a handful. So, a 60's and 70's bands tribute was another of those we felt compelled to put something forward for. It was a new label to us as well as it happens;

"Cian Orbe is a Chilean non profit netlabel," said the blurb, "created in 2016 by Sábila Orbe, focused on experimental, atmospheric electronic music & other unrated weird electronic genres."

Yup, that sounded like Bullet territory. The brief went on to explain it was an open call to create a cover version of a favourite band from the era, but as an electro-experimental label, they would prefer you did something along those lines with whatever track you chose. Ah, and so many classic tracks to choose from; Stairway To Heaven, Smoke On The Water, Freebird...

"Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep." Says Skit.

"The Middle Of The Road pop hit?" I queried incredulously.

"Mac & Katie Kissoon in Skit universe."
"Well, they had a minor hit with it here too," I explained, "released on the Young Blood label, it only made it to no. 41 in the charts in June 1971. However, it was actually Lally Stott that originally wrote and recorded it, though his effort failed to chart completely. The Middle Of The Road version was released in direct competition with the Mac & Katie Kissoon take and absolutely wiped the floor with it; possibly because they had the might of the RCA Victor label behind them, though Sally Carr's hot pants may have had something to do with it; topping the chart for 5 weeks and staying in the top 50 for 8 months!"

Skit looked at me like I was some kind of Guinness Book Of Hit Singles studying saddo.

"Whatever," he shrugged, "Skit just thinking we can take piss out of chumpy chumpy Trump Trump."
"Skit, I could kiss you."

"Okay, but no tongues this time."
