A free bonus release, inspired by John Wills' The Great John Cage Project - In Lockdown podcast series. John has a featured recording on Communitas: Volume II, so we thought this would be a nice little extra to the collection. The opening track is the one that was finally broadcast in the last episode of the series, tracks 3 and 4 were from our first and more typically Magic Bullet style attempt. Further details on all of those can be found in the previous article, linked at the bottom. Track 2, on the other hand, that's the new one. So Skit just hops dimensions one morning, summer solstice as it happened, offers to trim the hedge for us. We should have been suspicious when we saw him setting up a microphone stand, just too trusting, I guess. Plus it's quite a sizeable hedge, so we let him do it. Little did we know this was the culmination of his revenge plot. You see, ever since I sneaked back down Knott End jetty without him to record the sort of 4'33' John would play on his podcast ('The Big Girl's Blouse Version', as he calls it), he's been threatening to do a solo take of his own, not believing my recording demonstrated John Cage's notion of the impossibility of silence as well as power tools would. So, our humble apologies if the sudden jump in relative volume between tracks 1 and 2 caused any distress, just make yourself a nice cup of tea and we're sure you'll stop shaking again in no time...
