	So it started with Skit excitedly waving a note under my nose. Well, I say waving, it was a Facebook message on a PC, so we're talking figuratively here, but you get my drift... "Hi Skit," it says, "Magic Bullet is fantastic and here at Hamfuggi Records we would be delighted to share your recordings. A big hug!! Gabriel Pereira Spurr." What can you say? When you get an invitation like that from a label you have the utmost respect for, it means a lot, trust me. It also inclines you to want to put together something quite special, and I hope that's what we've managed to do with this album. With no space in our schedule to record something completely new at the moment, we decided to create an exclusive 'kind of best of sampler	album' for them, and we hope you'll enjoy listening to the end result as much as we have putting it together. We've been at it for 2½ years now, so the time felt about right for a little retrospection. A serious labour of love, Optimas features a track either from, or representative of, each of the 12 Magic Bullet releases to date, which we felt was the best way to cover the broad spectrum of experimental styles we have always sought to embrace. Not easy to work out a running order for such a diverse collection, but I think we got it right in the end. Some tracks are as you will know them, some are special mixes for this release, some have been re-recorded from scratch. Take our word for it; if you're only ever going to buy the one Bullet album, let this be it! Enjoy muchly...
